The AT&T team at BKV has acquired a new team member to start working on the new CMS build coming up shortly. If you're not aware, the AT&T team at BKV is one of the elite. Long hours, strenuous work, oppressing superiors, and an onslaught of impeccable brand standards keeps this dedicated group busy. I'll be joining them in the ranks to help streamline some of the processes hopefully. It's a major undertaking, but hey, I always seem to surprise myself when the going get tough.
Roadside Assistance for your commercial or military aircraft! John Trivolta may actually get to use this, but for us mere mortals, I don't reckon we'll be taking our daily drivers to one of these service locations.
From us pioneers over at BKV, say hello to Realtree Mobile. Built on jQuery mobile, this bad boy bends the rules of CodeIgniter, Drupal, jQuery, social integration, Geo-location, tracking, and a slew of other technologies and puts them all into one melting pot. This site, designed by the amazing Randy Stephens and put together and and brought to life by the master mind, Joey Duke, this mobile site sets a new bar for projects to come.
BASC. What's that mean? Bad.Ass.Shopping.Cart. Not sure how many of you have a commercial airplane where you'll actually get to use this, but for those of you who do, welcome to your Airplane Auto Zone. Search for parts for your commercial or military aircraft by an assortment of filters, build your request, and submit it to a DTO Rep who will get your repair going pronto.
This is one of the coolest projects I've ever worked on. Jets and aircraft have always been intriguing to me ever since I was a little kid, and being able to put my effort into helping the worlds largest airline has been a great honor. Last week I added a new Request for Parts shopping cart system (which is built on Expression Engine), and I built a pretty cool customizable module we call MapsEE that is used on the site as an Aircraft Service Locator integrated with the Google Maps Api v3. What's so cool about MapsEE? Well...I'll just have to show you.
I recently began doing some updates for the Apartment Guide B2B website. This is a website which allows apartment managers, owners, investors, and the like to manage their accounts with Apartment Guide and their listings. Updates are on a rolling basis, and I expect new things to be happening in the next couple of days.
I recently began working on Cervilenz.com. Most of you probably have no idea what this is, and neither did I when I saw this thing. First, I thought it may be some sort of fancy straw that you'd get with a $10 Coca-Cola at Six Flags. Turns out it's actually a measurement device used to measure lady parts. I was close. Anyway, I'll be maintaining the site from now on and adding some new additions soon.
One of my first tasks at BKV was jumping into the MarchForBabies.org website. I recently began doing a few updates around the site, mainly html forms and some javascript, some pretty basic stuff, but I am honored to have the opportunity to work for a cause. I'm always up for helping where I can, and this job came along just at the perfect time. Looking forward to doing some cool things here.
Today I'll be joining the interactive team over at BKV in Atlanta, GA and I couldn't be more excited. I'll hold the title of Interactive Developer, working a bit more in CodeIgniter, the baddest bad boy in town in terms of PHP frameworks. I know I'm going to love it, and I know we are going to really explode in 2011 with some awesome work. For those of you who don't know, I took the position in Atlanta and moved from Los Angeles to be a little closer to family and to get into an awesome agency. I look forward to a long relationship at BKV and can't wait to see what comes out of our sleeves.
Launched a new website for my brother called JZBullies.com yesterday. This was a quicky, built on Wordpress with the Boldy Template. It looks great, and actually incorporates some jQuery, AJAX, and CSS3. Hopefully he can make some good use of it. Anyone looking to buy an English bulldog puppy, he's your guy!
The new SnagBuy.com is underway with a slew of new features. Facebook has now been integrated, so if you already have a Facebook account, login and registration has been simplified. It also pulls in your network of friends, so spreading the word is much easier. New areas include a new Everyday Coupons section where you can find normal coupons on just about anything...and the Daily Deals will be back in full force.
Some new additional features were added to the CaliforniaJewelers.org CMS today that helps with a number of tasks. These include new AJAX/jQuery reporting tools to gather needed information from the database, as well as a database backup tool.
Phase 2 of theCaratDiet.com launched today. It includes a slew of user management tools for members to login and manage every aspect of their CJA membership. This website is built completely in CI. Members of CJA can now login to pay their membership dues, create multiple store profiles that are searchable in the Store Locator, and they can even create teams of sub-users to have limited access to their accounts. Other features include some revamped graphical elements as well as a new Ice Spy Weekly section with a jQuery image gallery.
My newly designed website launched today. I revamped everything from scratch and moved away from the previous all Flash website. Don't get me wrong, I love Flash and its capabilities, and I'll continue to work with Flash as much as possible, but I just wanted to get something out there that reaches everyone. I first pondered on how I should go about tackling all the various technologies to show off as much as I could, so it took a little planning. Obviously I wanted it to be "a la 2011", so I settled on a little jQuery, some HTML5, CSS3, and a very simplistic approach. I've always wanted to start my own tutorial blog, so I will start putting up some new things as I go, and we can see where that goes. Let me know what you think. - Joey
